This was my second time attending the Chanticleer Authors Conference and the first time I had a book entered in a Chanticleer International Book Awards contest.  This fall, my second book, “The Passage Home to Meuse” made the short list for the Chatelaine Books awards for Women’s Fiction and Romantic Fiction for 2017, and I was thrilled with that honor.  I was more than thrilled at the awards banquet last Saturday, April 21, when it was announced my book won First in the Chatelaine Book Award category! I am still flying high and so grateful to be among so many other authors receiving awards in so many categories.  Kiffer Brown, CEO of Chanticleer, shared the rigorous process for judging the final selections, and I am beyond grateful to be included among so many worthy authors.  Thank you Chanticleer for your acknowledgment, support and the phenomenal work you do supporting authors worldwide. The classes and master workshops over the three days of the conference were outstanding and so beneficial as I continue work on my third book.  I’m already looking forward to next year!!
