This is my very first blog on my very first website regarding my very first novel, “The Lavender House in Meuse”.
The learning of all things social media is a steep learning curve for me and, being a woman of words, I like to research what I write about. Hence I needed to find out exactly what a “blog” is and how the word originated.
On December 17, 1997, Jorn Barger first coined the term “weblog” and shortly thereafter the shortened form “blog” became the term we are now familiar with.
The term “web log” certainly describes what I hope will be found here each week as I write about many aspects of the story of Marie Durant Chagall and her life before, during and after World War 1 and her experiences as a young French woman during those times.
Please feel free to comment and ask questions as you peruse my website and, hopefully, find the blogs interesting and informative!
